I needed a "cheep" argon reg for my newly acquired lift TIG welder "Everlast". We arrived very quickly, but with some sort of cheese packaging. alas the reg survived with just a couple of scratches. 3/8 barb is taking and I needed 1/4, no problem to change it. easy connection with bottle of argon. the CGA-580 has a rubber tip, I wasn't sure about it at first. I work as an automotive technician/diesel and it took a welder to build a flatbed scanner and a bumper on my Toyota. This welder works great!!! I also had a square basket for my tool box to sit so it wouldn't get damaged by slipping into the back of my pickup. got this for my son-in-law for a birthday gift. ABSOLUTELY loves it! New to welding, but did it and fixed so many things with it. He also made a metal stand to keep his welder. has developed tools to help him with his work as a pool. He is having a lot of fun with it and been pretty creative. so far, I have heard complaints about it!!!
